MosquePro (“we”, “us”) is a community app and website for Muslims and mosques. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Contact: privacy@mosquepro.app or support@mosquepro.app.
Account: email, password (hashed by our auth provider), display name, and optional profile photo, bio, and home mosque. You may use the product with limited features without an account.
Mosque & community: mosques you follow, check-ins (if you turn them on), posts, comments, events, classes, donations you initiate, and admin actions if you manage a mosque.
Messages: we store encrypted message payloads and conversation metadata (who is in the chat, timestamps). We cannot read the content of end-to-end encrypted chats. Device public keys are stored so other participants can encrypt to you.
Device & diagnostics: app version, OS, language, crash logs, and approximate region needed for prayer times and nearby mosques. Precise location is only used when you grant permission (e.g. Qibla or nearby).
Payments: card details are handled by Stripe; we receive tokens, payment status, and the last four digits—not full card numbers.
To run the app: sign-in, prayer times, mosque discovery, community features, notifications you enable, and customer support. To keep the service safe: abuse reports, spam, and security logs. To improve the product: aggregated analytics (see Ads & tracking). We do not sell your personal information.
Contract: providing the service you asked for. Consent: optional location, marketing email, and non-essential cookies/SDKs. Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, and product improvement in a way that does not override your rights. Legal obligation: tax, accounting, and lawful requests.
Other users see what you choose to publish (profile, posts, public mosque info). Mosque admins see membership and content for their mosque. Processors act on our instructions, including Supabase (database/auth), hosting, Stripe (payments), OneSignal or equivalent (push), and email delivery. We share data if required by law or to protect users from serious harm.
Servers and processors may be outside the UK/EEA. Where required we use approved transfer tools (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) and appropriate safeguards.
Account data until you delete your account, then we remove or anonymise it within a reasonable period unless the law requires longer (e.g. donation records). Backups expire on a rolling schedule. Encrypted message ciphertext is retained until you or the conversation owner deletes it, subject to backup windows.
Depending on where you live you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You can withdraw consent at any time. You may complain to the ICO (UK) or your local authority. Email privacy@mosquepro.app and we will respond within one month where the law requires it.
MosquePro is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
We use HTTPS, access controls, and encryption at rest from our infrastructure providers. End-to-end chat uses keys on your devices; if you lose all devices and recovery material, we cannot decrypt old messages. No method is 100% secure—please use a strong password.
We will update this page and the “Last updated” date when the policy changes. Material changes may also be notified in the app.
MosquePro may show advertising in the apps and on the website to keep core features free. Ads can use limited technical data (device type, approximate region, app version) and, where you allow it, advertising identifiers. We do not sell your name, email, or message contents to advertisers.
On iOS, tracking across other companies’ apps or websites only happens if you allow App Tracking Transparency. On Android, you can reset or opt out of the advertising ID in system settings. You can also limit ad personalisation in-app under Settings → Privacy where available.
We and our measurement partners may use cookies or similar technologies on the website. Essential cookies keep the site working; optional analytics help us understand usage. You can control cookies in your browser.
